Inspired by my cultural travels, natural forms found in nature and my love for fashion and design, Mekka Jewellery pieces are born. The jewellery pieces are an amalgam of old and new, where the North, South and East meets the modern West. I use ethically sourced gemstones, carefully selected during my travels and from gemstone shops, but you will also find beautiful stones and beads in my designs that have been repurposed from vintage jewellery, all this combined with new, high quality, jewellery components.

Ginger House Garden
"We work in harmony with the seasons to create natural and garden inspired floral design. We grow an abundance of flowers in our cutting garden for workshops, intimate weddings and gorgeous gatherings. We also harvest and dry flowers every year in order to extend our flower season. Our cutting garden and studio is nestled on the border of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, just outside of Berwick-upon-Tweed.
We will be bringing a selection of fresh Christmas wreaths, dried flowers, and a selection of floral gift ideas to the Christmas Fair.”

Jill Stewart
I specialise in making small lovely objects by hand from unusual combinations of metals, usually jewellery or small clocks. I work in etched copper and brass, with silver and titanium. When I heat them this creates colours on the metal, and I use my experience to get just the right effect. Each time they will come out a little different, looking handmade and unique. I think of my jewellery and clocks like illustrations you can wear or use to decorate your home.
I was brought up in the Northumbrian countryside, and natural things – flowers, birds, colour and beauty are what I like best. I think of the things I make as being like illustrations in metal, and I like to have fun with colour!

Teasel & Twine - sustainable florals sown, grown & created in Northumberland
Nikky D'Aguilar - painter Inspired by the stunning coastline, my aim is to capture what I feel more than what I actually see - energy, light, colour & movement all come together to give me a feeling that I am compelled to transfer to the canvas. I work fast, creating many different layers and always covering the whole canvas in one sitting, so that I can work the paint while it's still wet.
